Students will analyze office system requirements, propose system solutions and build an office system that meets an organization’s needs. Office Networking and Telecommunication System - ASM551/OSM554/OSM551/OSM602
This course describes the role of telecommunications and networking in business offices and organizations. It deals with the components and procedures in the applications of telecommunications and networking. In addition, the course also examines a wide range of new and emerging telecommunications technologies and networking and use of modern telecommunications and networking for strategic advantage.
Internet Technology and Web Design - ASM454/OSM456
The course is designed to prepare students to work and live in a high-tech environment by introducing them to the necessary resources, tools and skills. Students will learn Internet tools to access and, retrieve information, evaluate information found on Webpages, develop netiquette skills, and discuss current issues and trends in telecommunications. In addition, the course will also focus on designing and developing a web site.
Office Business Process - ASM652/OSM652
This course focuses on concepts and methodology for business process redesign (BPR). Emphasis is placed on business process redesign principles, transformation principles, and continuous process improvement principles. Apart from BPR, students are also exposed to process improvement approach.
